My story

My love for jewellery began in my teenage years when I was gifted a Dower & Hall spinning ring. I’d spend hours turning it over in my hands, wondering how it was made. Jewellery quickly became a way of expressing myself and marking life events, but most of all, I loved how it made me feel when I wore it.

I’ve always believed that jewellery is more than just something you wear — it’s a keeper of memories. It carries the warmth of the hands that once held it, the stories of the people who wore it, and the moments it has quietly witnessed.

Shortly after turning 27, I decided to take a career break to travel. Taking some time to slow down and reflect made me realise I wasn’t doing something I truly loved. When I returned, I decided to explore jewellery making as a hobby. The hobby quickly became an obsession, and before I knew it, people were asking to buy pieces I'd made.

In 2019, I decided to take a leap of faith and hone my craft further by enrolling at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham. During my 3 years there I learned gemmology, jewellery making, and silversmithing. Along the way, I won three end-of-year awards for my final collection of spinning rings, and in 2022 I was honoured to win Silver at the prestigious Goldsmiths’ Award in London for my 2D design entry.

Today, from my Worcester studio, I create ready-to-wear collections inspired by my love of music and nature alongside bespoke commissions. My true passion lies in heirloom remodelling — giving treasured pieces a new life while keeping their history alive. Whether it’s a grandmother’s engagement ring, a gift from a loved one, or a family treasure tucked away in a drawer, I work with you to reimagine it into something you’ll love to wear every day.

Wherever possible, I use fully traceable gemstones and work with eco-conscious, sustainable materials, ensuring each piece is kind to both the planet and the people who make it possible. Every creation is handcrafted with care, balancing beauty, story, and ethics.

This is jewellery with a soul — pieces that are made to be worn, cherished, and passed on, carrying their stories into the future.

“I've have the pleasure of owning several bespoke pieces from Philippa Louise Jewellery, and I can't praise her work enough. Philippa's talent for creating unique and meaningful jewellery is truly exceptional”.
